Weather Forecast Manual

The Weather Forecast tool displays meteorological forecast data over time in a single chart so skydivers can review trends across a planned jumping period.

Inputs and controls

Location / drop zoneThe location used to request forecast weather data.
Forecast timeThe time period shown in the chart.
Time slider / horizontal scrollAllows review of additional forecast hours when more data is available than fits on screen.
Altitude rowsThe altitude levels used to display cloud, temperature, wind, or other forecast values.

Weather rowA summary of the forecast period when available.
TemperatureForecast air temperature over time.
Heat indexApparent temperature when heat and humidity are combined.
Wind / gustForecast wind speed and gust values.

Rain percentForecast precipitation chance for the displayed time.
Thunder percentForecast thunder potential when available.
Cloud cover by altitudeForecast cloud coverage values arranged by altitude level.

Altitude temperature legendA temperature color reference for altitude rows.

Altitude note

AGL is true altitude above ground level. True AGL may not match barometric altitude because barometric instruments can read differently due to pressure setting, temperature, elevation reference, and atmospheric conditions. Treat altitude rows as forecast reference levels, not as a guaranteed match to a skydiving altimeter.
